Saffron tastes more like mushrooms than anything else apart from truffles, which are fungi anyway.

It is also so good with fish, as any paella is determined by its saffron content to a massive extent.

I'll have you know that the British Empire was built on Gin and Tonic (and tea and opium, obviously).

Juniper is great in food, but gin is NOT A PROPER DRINK.

Saffron would be a better flavour for alcohol. Does a saffron spirit exist?

Re: Fave Gin?
Gin is just queer vodka.

Juniper and pungent herbs, I ask you.

Must admit, I'd never heard of Fever Tree tonic.

I therefore bought a pack of 4 and a bottle of Hendricks. Result in that I got another cup and saucer in the box..different to the other one I have.

Just started a Cote du Rhone and will then steam into the gin and will report back.

Ching Ching.

Always liked Gordon’s London dry, best of the lot IMO and the only way to drink it is with tonic.

To be honest, I'll drink any gin with tonic, but Bombay sapphire goes down well.

More of a gin martini man. Plymouth or Hendricks.
